How this game shapes up
The Suns have quickly established themselves as one of the most dangerous teams in the competition.
Across their opening two matches, Gold Coast have dominated early, building huge first half leads through midfield control and relentless forward pressure.
Led by Christian Petracca and Noah Anderson, the Suns midfield is generating high inside 50 numbers while their defensive structure has been difficult to penetrate, particularly in the first half of matches.
Richmond showed resilience in their narrow loss to Carlton, fighting back from a significant deficit to nearly steal the game.
However, this presents a very different challenge.
The Tigers struggled to contain ball movement at times and that is a major concern against a Gold Coast side that thrives on territory dominance.
If the Suns control possession and lock the ball in their forward half, Richmond may again find themselves chasing the game early.
