UFC Betting Tips

It is no secret that the UFC has taken the world by storm and has become the premiere one-on-one contact sport in the world, drawing in the biggest crowds and the most money than any other mixed martial art. That is not to say that punters are not laying down money on boxing any more, but that has been a shift in the guard.

Our team of experts will be in the ring every fight, no matter what the discipline, giving out their previews and predictions for each BOUT. Knowing the fighters inside out, understanding their strengths, weaknesses, fighting styles, and recent performance can help you make more informed and strategic betting decisions and that is what the experts at AussieBets do for you.

UFC Markets

UFC and MMA have seen tremendous growth in spectatorship and betting popularity. As a result, sportsbooks are dedicating more focus to their UFC betting options, leading to highly competitive odds among different bookmakers, which benefits the bettors.

In UFC betting, you have a wide array of options to choose from. You can bet on the winner of the fight, the method of victory, or delve into more specific fighter stats-based markets like total takedowns or significant strikes landed. The diverse range of betting opportunities allows you to customize your wagers based on your preferences and knowledge of the fighters.

Here are some of the most popular markets.

Head-To-Head

In UFC betting, the money line is the most straightforward form of punting. It involves simply picking the fighter you believe will win the bout. With no ties in the UFC, the money line bet boils down to a straightforward right or wrong outcome.

Method Of Victory

  • TKO/KO - This is when the fight is stopped due to a fighter being knocked unconscious or that the referee deems that the fighter can no longer defend himself due to concussion symptoms. If two fighters like to stand up and brawl or one specific fighter has a track record of knocking out his/her opponent then this is a good betting option.
  • Submission - Submission victory occurs when one fighter ‘taps out’ or verbally communicates to the referee that they want the fight stopped. Fighters that have backgrounds in jiu-jitsu and other grappling forms of martial arts will generally win by submission.
  • Decision - A decision will need to be made by the ringside judges on a winner if the fight last the allotted amount of rounds. The judges score each round and a decision will be made on the winner based on the scorecard. A unanimous decision is when all 3 judges score the bout to the same winner. A split-decision is when one of the 3 judges scores the bout to the losing fighter. Either way the fighter with at least two judges scoring him or her as the winner will be victorious.

Round Betting

A punter can choose which round they believe the fight will end. For boosted odds you can also decide which round and the method of victory for a much larger return.

UFC Multi Bets

UFC and Boxing Multi Bets are very common during a fight night. Many MMA fanatics try to pick the card with their being between 5-10 fights during one single evening at the same venue. Combining multiple winners into the same bet can really get the blood pumping, if watching two people go head-to-head in a cage isn’t enough.

UFC Live Streaming

Dana White, the mastermind behind the UFC, has turned it into a multi-million dollar business, largely thanks to stars like Alexander Volkanovski and Rob Whittaker. Exciting fights happen almost every weekend throughout the year, accessible through sports streaming and PPV platforms like Kayo Sports, Foxtel, and Foxtel from Telstra.

These platforms allow you to catch UFC Fight Nights on ESPN and PPV fights via Main Event. Be sure to explore these options for the best seat in the house during the next thrilling Octagon showdown.

UFC History

The UFC, or Ultimate Fighting Championship, is a premier mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion organization founded in 1993 by Art Davie and Rorion Gracie. The inaugural UFC event, UFC 1, took place on November 12, 1993, in Denver, Colorado.

The early years of the UFC featured a unique format, with fighters from various martial arts backgrounds competing against each other in a no-holds-barred style. Over the years, the UFC evolved and implemented rules to ensure fighter safety, leading to its recognition as a legitimate sport.
