Round 11 of the 2025 NRL season takes place this weekend and Andrew Hendrie gives his best bets and predictions for every game.

Check out the best tip for each game of Round 11 below.

Newcastle Knights vs Parramatta Eels

  • Date: Friday May 16
  • Time: 6.00pm AEST
  • Venue: McDonald Jones Stadium

Two teams in desperate need of a win, with the Knights 3-6 for the season and the Eels going 2-7. Both teams lost very winnable matches last week - Newcastle's attack continues to be woeful as they blew a 20-0 halftime lead against the Titans at home, while the Eels were disappointing in a 20-16 loss at CommBank to the Dolphins. You can probably put a line through the team that loses this for 2025. I don't trust either side and it wouldn't surprise me if we saw another bludger of a game involving the Knights - take Under 45.5 total points.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs Sydney Roosters

  • Date: Friday May 16
  • Time: 8.00pm AEST
  • Venue: Accor Stadium

The Doggies are flying and extended their lead at the top of the table with a brilliant comeback victory over the Raiders last weekend, scoring 32 unanswered points in the second-half as captain Stephen Crichton produced a masterclass. The Roosters have gotten their act together after a tough start to the season and are up to ninth on the ladder following the bye in Round 10. Canterbury have now been involved in three high-scoring games on the bounce, despite their strong defence - the points could flow again at Accor if the Roosters bring their A-game.

Dolphins vs New Zealand Warriors

  • Date: Saturday May 17
  • Time: 3.00pm AEST
  • Venue: Suncorp Stadium

It's been a dream start to the season for the Warriors, who come into this showdown flying high in second spot on the ladder, while the Dolphins have also produced some eye-catching performances lately, winning four of their last six. Luke Metcalf has transformed into one of the premier halves in the competition for the Warriors and his matchup with Dolphins No. 7 Isaiya Katoa could be key. These two teams met twice last season, splitting four and two-point victories. With both teams in great form, either team by a 1-12 margin looks a good play here.

North Queensland Cowboys vs Manly Sea Eagles

  • Date: Saturday May 17
  • Time: 5.30pm AEST
  • Venue: Queensland Country Bank Stadium

Manly could be in for a long season - when they perform that poorly at Brookie on a Sunday afternoon, you know something is wrong. Obviously the Daly Cherry-Evans saga has had an affect on the footy team and they've lost four of their last five coming into this clash. North Queensland on the other hand will be high on confidence following their 30-30 draw with the Panthers last weekend, which means they've only lost once since Round 3. The Cowboys' attack is firing on all cylinders, so I'm confident they cover a small line over a free-falling Sea Eagles outfit in Townsville.

Cronulla Sharks vs Melbourne Storm

  • Date: Saturday May 17
  • Time: 7.35pm AEST
  • Venue: Sharks Stadium

The Storm reminded everyone they're the team to beat this season when they perform at their best, completely dismantling the hapless Tigers by a 64-0 score, with fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen scoring 36 of those points with four tries and 10 goals, propelling himself into NSW Origin selection contention. Cronulla meanwhile delivered a classic Cronulla performance against Manly, doing what they had to do, nothing overly flashy and prevailing 30-14 with a couple of late tries. The Sharks have been guilty of being flat-track bullies over the years - I can't tip them against a genuine heavyweight, so Melbourne at a small line of -3.5 looks good.

Brisbane Broncos vs St George Illawarra Dragons

  • Date: Sunday May 18
  • Time: 2.00pm AEST
  • Venue: Suncorp Stadium

The Broncos look in serious need of an attitude adjustment as they come into this encounter with just one win in their last five. That win however came over the first-placed Bulldogs, so we know what Brisbane are capable of when focused and motivated. Michael Maguire will demand a response at home against a Dragons side who have stagnated this season and are on a three-game losing streak. More questions will be raised if the Broncos don't win this game comfortably.

Canberra Raiders vs Gold Coast Titans

  • Date: Sunday May 18
  • Time: 4.05pm AEST
  • Venue: GIO Stadium

It was an almighty collapse from the Raiders as they squandered a 20-0 halftime lead over the Bulldogs to fall 32-20 in the nation's capital. Gold Coast meanwhile produced a stunning comeback of their own last week, recovering from a similar deficit at half-time to roll over the Knights and prevailing 24-20, snapping a five-game losing run. I have a rule with Canberra and it's if you're backing them, do so at 1-12 margin, with 13 of their last 16 victories landing in that margin. Will back the Raiders to bounce back at home.

Wests Tigers vs South Sydney Rabbitohs

  • Date: Sunday May 18
  • Time: 6.15pm AEST
  • Venue: Campbelltown Sports Stadium

How will the Tigers respond after their 64-0 drubbing at the hands of the Storm? It was an embarrassing performance, made worse by Jarome Luai's father Martin jumping on social media and writing “Get out clause activated” in a since-deleted post. The Tigers looked as if they were putting the Lachlan Galvin saga behind them with two straight wins, but they are back to the drawing board. Souths meanwhile stunned the Broncos, with Latrell Mitchell reminding everyone of his supreme talent by slotting the match-winning two-point field goal from 48m out before crossing for a cheeky try in the dying stages. Tough one to call, but I'll back a response from the Tigers at home.
