The best NBL Christmas sports guide for 2023 - Teams, times and venues for all games over Christmas and Boxing Day
One of the best things about being an Aussie at Christmas time is all the sport on offer.
The NBL took the brave leap last season, hosting the first ever professional sports game on Christmas Day in Australia when the Sydney Kings hosted Melbourne United.
The arena attendance was under-expected with just 7012 fans at the game, however, the win was through the TV screens, as the game was the third-most watched program on Foxtel on Christmas Day, with over 300, 000 viewers.
The NBL has a number of games scheduled around Christmas again this year, with the Brisbane Bullets and Adelaide 36ers matching up for an afternoon game at 2pm AEDST on Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Day the South East Melbourne Phoenix and Tasmanian Jackjumpers are the first game of a double-header starting at 5:30 pm AEDST with Illawarra Hawks and Sydney Kings rounding out the evening with a 7:30 pm AEDST start.
