Is Harley Reid Already an AFL Superstar?

Harley Reid’s performance against GWS felt different.

Not because it was flashy. Not because of the highlights. Not even because West Coast finally won.

It felt different because for the first time, Harley Reid looked like he completely controlled an AFL game.

Because once players with Reid’s physical gifts start understanding tempo and positioning at midfield level, they become almost impossible to stop.

That would have sounded absurd six months ago.

But the reality is Reid has already become one of the most damaging midfielders in the competition when he gets time and space.

And he is still learning.

For years, the Eagles have lacked genuine star power in the middle of the ground.

Now they have a player who can completely shift the energy of a game by himself.
